5 Dresses

This collection of five dresses transforms my personal story of living with dyslexia into something bold, joyful, and empowering. What once felt like an obstacle has become the foundation for creating beauty, color, and strength through design. Each dress reflects resilience and celebrates the power of turning challenges into art.

The base color of white represents childhood innocence—the place where our journeys begin. Onto this canvas, I embroidered affirmations in vivid red thread, a symbol of determination, confidence, and vitality. Each word is carefully hand-beaded to perfection, bringing light and dimension to the messages that carried me through self-doubt. The beadwork becomes a physical manifestation of strength, showing that struggle can be transformed into brilliance.

These five dresses are not designed simply to make someone feel beautiful. They are made to make the wearer feel unstoppable, radiating power, joy, and resilience. Through playful and exaggerated shapes, I pushed beyond traditional boundaries to create pieces that are dynamic, commanding, and alive.

This collection is about reclaiming struggle and rewriting it as a story of strength. It is proof that even the hardest challenges can be transformed into something colorful, joyful, and extraordinary.

Sampling Book

This is a book where I investigate the affirmations in my collection through embroidery and beadwork techniques.

Fabric Sampling

Fabric manipulation techniques are incorporated throughout all five dresses in the collection, serving as a unifying element that enhances both the visual texture and conceptual depth of each piece.
